4/10/2023 0 Comments Blood bowl bbedit![]() You ll also have to make sure all your players know how to edit their teams if there are new skills awarded in the tourney, either with the vanilla interface (if that is possible) or with BBEdit.Īlternatively you, as the Admin, could get conversant with how to create/edit teams yourself and then just hand out by e-mail to your players the team files before each match day. But it requires that all players hosting a game know how to find out what their public IP address is (as opposed to our local router network IP address which is useless for external TCP/IP connection) and that they have properly open their ports etc etc. Playing via TCP/IP is not that complicated, just a few clicks in the in game multiplayer interface. Just check that you can actually create/edit teams in Single player (additional skills included), or with BBEdit, that you can then export and actually use for TCP/IP, and away you go! Since games played via TCP/IP dont add any SPP to players per se then that ll be all you need. The games themselves would have to be played in direct TCP/IP mode for sure though, lest your team resides at the Cyanide servers and thus would be rendered unusable for Ressurection purposes.Īll the game results and leader board etc would have to be managed offline though.īBEdit may come in handy in order to add skills. Then you ll have to "export" them so to be able to select them when connecting via TCP/IP. Regarding how to do it with the vanilla Cyanide setup, I think you could create/edit teams in Single player mode, either with the current interface or failing that with VoodooMike´s BBEdit team editor app (if it is still available and compatible with CE, which I am not sure). The admin there wanted to implement full team edit control for league admins (much like OFL) but it has yet to be implemented, the project stalled long ago (funny how its General forum is full of "kitchen for sale" spam). The other alternative mentioned, Bloodbowldigital, is similar in concept to OFL but it is much more limited. ![]() Just for clarification, all games in OFL are played via TCP/IP. OFL is just not geared like that at the moment. I ve seen a Big Hand High Elf Thrower.Īll this confirms that if Thul wanted to organize a Resurection type Tourney it could be perfectly possible I imagine. One of those entails giving a player an exceptional skill he/she does not normally has access to. For example at the end of a season some special "glittering prices" are handed out. The code gives Thul full control on team composition, skills, gold, you name it. If you are interested to find out more you are most welcome to join the forum there and check with Thul, the admin. What I suspect is that in any event it is not trivial and you need a certain level of coding skills to replicate something like that. OFL (see link in my sig) has its own bit of code behind it which I am not at all privy too I am afraid.
